We finally have a camera...though, we aren't sure if we like it... we may return it. Anyway, here are the two boys I've failed to take pictures of all month. If I can figure out how to get pictures off of our camcorder easily, then this we can make some progress.
Quick updates:
-MJ played with these letters all on his own. Several minutes after this was created, he showed it to me. We were both excited about his name on the fridge.
- MJ continues to grow more intersted in sports (he is already pretty musically inclined). Mario and I bought a bunch of sports stuff for our family last weekend, and we've had fun trying out all our fun stuff.
- Speaking of sports, I was impressed when I saw MJ do this lay-up, dunk move on our little basketball hoop. I'd never seen him do that before, nor do I remember teaching him to try to do it. A couple of days later, MJ decided to raise the bar. I have a video of this and will try to post it next week. But basically, he jumped off the top of this 3 ft high Little Tykes slide and launched himself forward toward the hoop and dunked it in. This amazing flying 3 yr old truly impressed me. Mario was a little shocked to hear that I let MJ do this. Of course, I asked him to do it again so I could get a video and picture. He did it about a dozen times, and on my one last shot at getting a good picture, I think he bumped his chin on something. No blood, just a little sore I guess. I thought he chipped a tooth and took him to the dentist, but it seems that MJ just grinds his teeth. So, there honey, no need to worry about my loose mommy skills. In fact, MJ performed this leaping act a couple dozen more times today... he is very impressive.
- Not all updates are good news... one thing MJ is working on is being a good friend and sharing. He's become a little pushy again when people are in his territory. Though, I continue to be proud of him for sticking up for himself or telling people to stop doing things that are bothering him (ie. throwing dirt at the playground)
- This is totally for me, you guys probably don't care, but for over a month now, MJ has been able to buckle himself in his car seat. This has made every trip in the car a little bit easier.
- Joey is finally connecting that he can try to communicate in English. Some things he communicates are: please (for just about anything he wants), done (finished with food), up (to pick him up), drink (though that is more like please most of the time), and various animals he's interested in.Quick updates:

- Another cute thing Joey has been doing for a few weeks now is to blow on his food to cool it down. This also became his way of asking for a certain type of food. And if I'm reheating something for him in the microwave, he runs over to it and begins making the blowing noise.
- Is it a boy thing, or just a kid thing to make the car engine noise to talk about a car before you actually use the word car? Anyway, the engine noise that he makes is cute.
- I haven't kept great track, but I think Joey's first word besides Mommy or Dada is "beep". We were "beeping" each others noses... you say "beep" when you push on the nose. And he made the whole word "beep". It was so cute to hear his little voice. I guess he also says "up" competely, but that is just a really easy word.
- Joey is really good at understanding commands and keeping up with the family. In fact, Joey seems to be a better listener than MJ. To get out the door (to the doctor for example) I'll tell MJ it's time for him to go to the bathroom and put on his shoes. I'll have to say this 2 or 3 times to MJ, meanwhile, Joey has 1 toy car in each hand and is backing down the stairs towards the door to go. He'll sit on the step and try to put shoes on... while most days I have to coax MJ into doing that. He totally gets our bedtime routine and is often the first to race up the stairs for a bath. He loves to try to brush his teeth and will pick out a book and put it on the bed most nights without being asked.
- And we had our first Sunday at church in awhile where Joey didn't have to be taken out at all. I feel that was just a really lucky morning, but in general, Joey kind of gets church a little more.
I have no new pictures of Little T, but s/he continues to grow. I think the baby is about 5 inches long now. For about a week I've been certain that I can feel Little T move. Whether this is a result of Little T, or just my life now, it seems I've been more under-the-weather with this pregnancy. Still tired, occasional heartburn (those are normal for pregnant me), but I'm not so happy with the incredible headaches that I've developed. They are like sinus headaches, though it doesn't seem like the typical congestion. I would almost classify this as a migraine, though tylenol, rest, water don't seem to help. The best I can do is hope that it goes away by the next morning. But, I will survive... I still love you, Little T.
